It's the last day of NaBloPoMo. Thanks for hanging in there with me, through good blogs and bad. Now, I can sit back, relax, and post whenever I want to.
I must say, though, I am pretty proud of myself for actually doing it every single day for 30 days. Some days I even did it more than once. I think that as with any other addiction, it will be a trial as I wean myself from the gut-wrenching desire to BLOG, but, with good friends like you, I think I will be okay.

The ending of an era

So, we got cable when we moved here so Bart could watch LSU football during football season. That has always been the plan, so I went ahead and canceled it starting Dec. 3. Why did they cancel it today? And why, when my husband called to complain about this annoying surprise, did he not demand justice? He said, "Sure, don't charge us for now until Monday, the original cut off date."
Um, Hello! Didn't Bart know that I wanted to watch one last Ace of Cake, What Not To Wear, and House Hunter? Doesn't he know that on Saturday is Snow Day on Disney in the AM? What is his deal? I guess he doesn't care since LSU comes on CBS and we get that channel just fine.
I am tempted to call them back and demand they fix their error and give us something for our loss...maybe a month of free cable, maybe a $$$ credit, maybe a trip to Jamaica for two. Oh, the possibilities of righting this horrible wrong are endless!!!!!

Surprise

So, Brennan came downstairs this morning, after decorating the tree and going to bed last night, and says, "I checked to see if there was presents, but there was just a rug".
Ha. He is referring to the tree skirt that was added after he went to bed.
He follows this statement with, "I dreamed about Santa Claus, but it was just my hat". (He got a Santa hat yesterday.)
Both of these were so funny that I had to write them down and share them with you.

Seven Things Meme

Go down a few posts and you will find it. I started it the other day, so even though I posted it today, it stayed with it's starting date.

A Hodge Podge of Photos

These are a few of our weekend's photos.
  • I made the wreath myself, and though not as fancy as Lexi's, I still like it.
  • Will visited during Thanksgiving, and fixed Brennan's hair in a mo hawk. Now Brennan wants his hair in a mo hawk all the time, so he and his friend, Conner, got mo hawks to wear to preschool today.
  • This is the first time Brennan ever stood near Santa and didn't cry. I have the pictures to prove it...year after year, tears, or me w/Bren, or tears and still me W/Bren.
  • Bart and Will have been friends since before either of them were old and gray. It was a lot of fun having him come and spend the holiday with us...it made us feel like we weren't so far from home.

Gifts

Why is it that every other month of the year I can think of five things I'd love to get as a gift, but when Christmas/my birthday rolls around, my mind goes blank and I come up with things such as, "A new pair of thick tights, some scrapbook glue, and a ticket to Time Out for Women".
That's it???
Man, I need some therapy...gift receiving therapy!

Seven Things Meme

I was tagged for the Seven Things Meme by Kathy
The rules are:

  1. Share seven random facts about yourself, in your blog.
  2. Include these rules.
  3. Link back to the person who tagged you.
  4. Tag seven more people and list their names & blogs. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged.

Here are Seven Random Things about me:

  1. I was due on Christmas Eve and my name was supposed to be either Merry Christmas McClure or Christmas Noel McClure (or something equally horrid). Thank goodness I was born on New Year's Eve!
  2. I had a wooden leg named Gertrude when I was a senior in high school...Gertrude even made it into the VHS 1998 yearbook.
  3. My family has had an odd assortment of pets...pot bellied pigs, baby cows, a baby horse that was sick and hung out in our living room, watching Wheel of Fortune.
  4. I am terrified of hamsters. One crawled on my in my sleep as a teenager (my brothers had lost one that day) and I caught it under a cup, only to have it escape...Now, I really don't like the little guys.
  5. My secret desire is to have a perfect home with beautiful decorations. Instead I always have a load of laundry hanging out by the couch, a messy kitchen (not dirty, just cluttered), and no pictures on the walls or any great decorations to be seen.
  6. I love to be crafty, but hate certain crafts.
  7. I feel that I must check out the prices of big purchase items at ten different stores before I can settle on one. Example: Brennan and Jackson's Christmas items...I have searched every website twice for kids digital cameras and radio flyer tricycles.
I will tag only my sister, Jeni and Kris, because I think everyone else has been tagged already.

Friends

Having Will around this Thanksgiving has gotten me to thinking about friends I've had through the years.
You know, there are some friends who are just great for the time you have them, then you both move on, and that's okay.
Then, there are others who just stick around forever. Bart and I both have a few of those.
I am so grateful for all of my friends, both those who seem to stick, and those who are in my life for the here and now. I know that family is before friends, but friends really help make the family a bit more tolerable at times. They are an outside source of advice and a fresh ear to listen to your problems and complaints. They can get excited over surprises you plan for your husband or kids, furious at the checker at the Wal-Mart who was rude (even though your hubby just doesn't get it), laugh and cry and all that's in between.
Don't get me wrong. Bart is my go-to person...but, when I need something a little more booby, a little less testosteronie, there's nothing like a good friend.
So, thank you.

Give Life

One of the little girls in my MOM's playgroup here (Kristabelle) has been in need of a small bowel transplant since she born via a premature emergency c-section. She finally received it on Thanksgiving, thanks to the selfless act of another family who had just lost a child.
She waited for 2.5 years for this. I just wanted to make you all aware that there are so many special, wonderful children and adults in need of selfless donors. This is an issue that I don't want to think about...but forced myself to. If something tragic where to happen is not the time to try to search and pray and have an answer for members of your family. Do research now. Discuss it now. Decide now what you would do.
I will.
Will you?

Callahan is Toast

So, have you heard the great news? Coach Callahan of Nebraska got fired.
So, at least there's some good news after that oh so depressing lose by LSU last night.
BTW, I'm not happy he was fired. I'm just happy Nebraska fans will have one less excuse as to why their team is so not LSU.

Coach Callahan, calling upon the football gods, finds out they are all busy helping LSU.

Melissa, Burgundy, and I have a tradition. A scrapbooking tradition. Every year during the Christmas holiday, we get together for some amazing scrapbooking time. This year we are probably going to Scrapbook & Co. on Jan. 2. We'll scrap all day and then go out to eat afterwards (someplace super yummy where kids are frowned upon), to celebrate us and ME (it's my b.day on 12/31!!!)
So, mark your calendars...cause it's a date and you're all invited!

I am a southern girl...I've lived there nearly all my life. So, when it started to snow as we were going to swim lessons, this was a bit surprising, if not exciting. Brennan says that the snow is "pretty awesome". We'll see what he thinks once winter gets here and there is snow all the time. Emily and her family were excited about the snow, so go see how her family spent the day. They actually built a snowman. We don't really know how to do that yet.
So, I won't have a "white Christmas" because I'll be in LA (thank goodness!), but I sure as heck am going to have a "white Thanksgiving". Maybe I'm on to a new holiday hit.

So, here is the much anticipated Girls Night Out Karaoke Video!!!
Be prepared to be amazed...at how bad I am at singing!
We had a great time for Kim's birthday. We met up at Kona Grill, where I had the best Pan-Asian Noodles EVER!!! Then, we decided to go sing some karaoke at a pizza place/bar/keno spot that turns "karaoke hot spot" on Saturday Nights.
It's all fun and games until the pressure is on to perform. I was a rock star, singing along with others who were submitting themselves to torture...but, when I decided it was my turn, I made a huge mistake.
I mean, seriously, I CAN'T SING!
So, I should have stuck with good ole Brittney's "Opps, I Did It Again". Funny, right?
Nope. I went country, which would have been fine, but I picked a kind of hard song for me, "Everyday Love" by Rascal Flatts.
So, sit back, enjoy the show, and don't pee on yourself laughing at me.

Oh, and I thought J.Cash's "Cry, Cry, Cry" was appropriate, since you're gonna laugh so hard you cry as you watch me make a fool of myself.
AND...NO comments that include in any way, shape, or form, "You weren't that bad...You should hear me!"

So, Jackson has had a runny nose off and on for about two weeks now. Yesterday he started having gooey eyes, which was gross. Today I called the doctor, took him in, blah, blah, blah.
Jackson has a severe sinus infection that is now coming out of his eyes and has caused an ear infection.
Poor little guy. Thank goodness for antibiotics. He'll be good as new before we know it.

Coming soon...
Me...singing karaoke!!!! (it's a real riot!)

Brennan's response when asked if he wanted to go see Santa (who came to the mall today):
"I'm still not sure about him."

Enjoying Fall

There are tons of parks in Omaha. We love it. There are maybe four parks within 1.5 miles of our home. Yesterday afternoon, before we had to pick Bart up from work, we visited a "new" park. (one of the four that we hadn't been to yet) We had a lot of fun enjoying the last rays of sunshine and the last days of warm-ish weather.

Mick, this one's for you!

My Budding Artist

For the longest time, Brennan has shown no interest in drawing, coloring, painting, etc. He has tons of coloring books and drawing pads, lots of neat colors and markers, but still, he has not been interested.
Well, since he started preschool, that has changed. He has started to draw and loves to draw groups of people, like his entire preschool class . Today he took his Spongebob Squarepants toy from Burger King, got out his markers and paper on his own, sat down and drew S.B. I was so proud of him.
The second picture is one he did at preschool yesterday. He was at the art center and had to use stencils. The teacher is really big on how stencils help build a kids confidence and all that. Anyways, he colored in the entire tiger (something we still are working on, filling in the entire space) and a 'beautiful' background as well.
Now, he is no Cana Brumfield (that girl has some crazy talent!) or Picasso, but I'm still proud of my little Brennan!

New Brakes

We finally got new brake pads. Yeah! No more squealing and squeaking at stop lights.
I am stoked.
And, it only cost $130, and it only took 1 hour.
Who else wants some of our car trip to LA money???

28

Brennan just discovered that my birthday is coming up, so he is telling everyone that I will be "28 on 31". (His wording, not mine.) Since I will be in LA and might not be blogging during the holidays, I decided to use NaBloPoMo as the opportunity to share 28 things about myself.

  1. My hair has always been blonde, but it is getting darker and that freaks me out.
  2. I want to learn how to cut my boys hair, but I am too cheap and nervous to buy a pair of clippers and try it.
  3. I have a Keloidal scar on my chest, from what I haven't a clue.
  4. My favorite food is spaghetti, with oatmeal cookies a close second.
  5. I love to sing in the car to the radio, and I'd really like to sing in a choir (if our ward had one), but I am too embarrassed because I can't really sing well.
  6. I won a $2000 shopping spree when I was 16 and got to go on a trip to Hollywood, CA.
  7. Tattoos freak me out. So does fingernail polish on the finger nails.
  8. When I was in first grade my family was moving from Maryland to Louisiana. I went to Louisiana early (b/c of school) and lived with my grandparents. While there, my uncle dropped me as he was holding me up high in the sky and I still have a chipped/slightly discolored tooth because of it.
  9. I really miss my friends. Yesterday I watched Chuck and Larry and got teary eyed when A.Sandler went clothes shopping with the lawyer. It reminded me of a trip I made with one of my friends to Alabama and we tried on a bunch of clothes at The Limited. I miss tons of things about all of you, and it makes me super sad that I don't have this awesome group anymore.
  10. I wish I could decorate cakes like my mom.
  11. I'd rather watch movies at home then in a theater.
  12. I took Japanese in high school, hardly remember any of it now, and wish I'd paid better attention.
  13. I was salutitorian and can't even spell it.
  14. My most prized possessions are my scrapbooks and my black pea coat.
  15. I am terrified of the winter that is fast approaching.
  16. Bart and I dated only a few weeks before we were engaged. We were friends for 7 months before he even asked me out. Oh, and I was 19 when I got engaged, and turned 20 20 days after I got married. (Young, dumb, yep, but I'd still marry the crazy fool!)
  17. The day after we "unofficially" got engaged, I went on a cross country trip with two other guys. (not Bart)
  18. I am a terrible snowboarder.
  19. Don't let all the complaining fool you. I really do love being primary president.
  20. I wish my house looked like it came out of Pottery Barn, and I wouldn't mind if my home was on any HGTV makeover show.
  21. One day, I will be the "breadwinner".
  22. I have blue eyes, big feet, and a mole under my right eye.
  23. My alma mater is LSU. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, taught one year, then "retired" when I had Brennan.
  24. I want my children to behave as respectable southern gentleman.
  25. My favorite movie is Sweet Home Alabama.
  26. I am not a huge pet fan, even though we have a dog.
  27. I hate baths but love showers.
  28. I want for my family to be happy and successful in all they do and I worry that my children might not choose the perfect paths to happiness as they grow older.

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

Well, it started out innocently enough. I was feeling sick last week, and taking a "nap" on the couch. I turned on the t.v., excited to enjoy a little "grown-up" t.v. time. Well, Disney Channel was on from earlier in the day, and Hannah Montana was showing. Since I didn't feel like looking around for the remote, I watched it. Now, I'm hooked...
And for some reason, Brennan already knew who Hannah Montana was. He sees her merchandise in stores and asks for it.
"Mom. Mom. I need this Hannah Montana lunch box for my school."
or
"Mom. Mom. I need a Hannah Montana blanket for my bedroom."
So, I guess it's not my little secret anymore...it's OUR little secret, because I do believe Bart will laugh me out of Omaha if he ever finds out.

Wicked

So, today is my MOM's group's book club and they read Wicked. I read this book in LA with my book club there, and I have since developed a bit of an obsession with the wicked witch. I struggled to read this book, because at times it is boring or I just didn't care, but once I finished it, I became a woman on a quest. Is this how Oz was portrayed by L. Frank Baum? Was the wicked witch kind of (but not really) just singled out because she was green? Was Liir her son?
Anyways, I went on to watch the movie (which I slept through), read the children's book, and read Son of a Witch, Wicked's follow up.
So, I want to go to the book club...

but I also want to watch the last Prison Break with Bart.

Primary Thanks

The primary program was today. It went fairly well, although I, of course, saw the ways it can improve next year.
I figured out why I dread things like this. Not because I mind doing it, or feel inadequate when faced with the task at hand. I loved creating the program and watching it all come together. I don't mind the work it took or the worry I had today.
What I dread is the after. When everyone comes up and says, "Good job." I'd rather if people just kept their opinions to themselves. Tell me nothing, because I don't like to modestly say, "Oh, thanks, it wasn't me, but the children." Because then they are going to retaliate with "No, you did so much, blah, blah, blah."
I know what I did. I guess I just don't want a lot of glory for it, because that isn't why I do it. I do it so the children can shine and learn of Christ. I do it so that I can magnify my calling and better my talents.
So, next time somebody does something nice, think twice before you congratulate them or thank them...they may just want to humbly slip out the back door.

(Jackson has on sweats and has a whistle in his mouth. He looked just like a pint sized old-school coach.)
Brennan was sick last weekend into this week, and now Jackson and I are a bit under the weather. I think it would be fine if Jackson was sick or if I was sick, but both of us together is very trying on the nerves, especially since it seems Jackson likes to cry a lot when he feels bad.
At least I am starting to feel better. Mine was just a little cold. Thank goodness, because tomorrow is the Primary Program, and I can't really miss that.
I am glad the program is almost over. There are so many decisions to make, last minute changes to go over, and prayers to be said that all the kids will do great. It is a real learning experience. Having participated in programs in the past (just not as the creator/orchestrator) I know that even if it seems a bit chaotic up until the sacrament program starts, it will all turn out fine...right?

Book-It

Brennan earned his first ever Book-It in the month of October. He was very excited and proud to earn a free pizza (even if he is still ultimate picky eater supreme). He told EVERYBODY about it, too, from the teller at the bank to the kid we carpool with. Yesterday he redeemed his prize and surprised us all by eating one entire slice of the pie. Maybe Book-It will give away free meatloaf or ham sandwiches next month, if all it takes to get Brennan to eat it is to win it.

Hey. My dad just made a blog, if you want to check it out.

Thursday, November 8, 2007

Ever feel like her? On top of your game? Able to conquer the world? That's how I felt after I cleaned out the boys room today. Brennan helped, but let's face it, most of the credit belongs to yours truly. Now, if it can just stay that way for a few days...

Wednesday, November 7, 2007

Happy First Birthday Brooklyn! Sorry it's a few days late, but hey, I was really early with your present, so I think I am balancing myself. You just get cuter and cuter with every picture your mama posts of you...better watch out, you're gonna drive the boys wild!
Love,
Aunt Jessie

Interesting

It is getting cold here. Like, as cold as winter in Louisiana. And it's only November.
This could be a problem.

Tuesday, November 6, 2007

I was reminded of another book series I used to read, The Babysitters Club. Thanks Kris. My Grandmother Burke owned a book store and sent a box of books to our family each month. I could hardly wait to see what those crazy girls were up to next. I wanted to have a babysitting kit like them and have lots of fun jobs and a cool club, too. Unfortunately, we lived in the country and the only people I babysat were my siblings...no fame or fortune in that. I still had some great adventures with them, though.

Play Pretend

When I was younger (about ages 8-11), my brothers, sister, bff of childhood, Lori, and I would play pretend in the pasture behind our house in Leesville, LA. One of my favorite things to pretend was that we were the Box Car Children. I don't know if it is because one of the characters was named Jessica or what, but playing in the back pasture and the shed, pretending to be run away children, was the best way to spend a summer day.
The funniest part of this is that we had only read the first book of the series. So, almost all of our adventures were of our own making. If I could remember what we did, I think it would be neat to look over the Box Car Children's adventures and see if any of them matched up.

My Best Friend

Man, did she love Halloween, and all holidays.

Me, Glenda, and MawMaw, Shirley Falgout (Glenda's mother)

For me, the day I found out my mother-in-law, Glenda, had cancer, was the worst day. How could I lose someone I had only had for such a little time?
I had such an amazing mother in law. Bart and I were at her house all the time...she wouldn't have it any other way. Looking back, I wonder if that was Heavenly Father helping us to have more time with her before she had to go home. Anyways, Ms. Geegah, as she was called, was so talented. She cook the best dinners ever (fried chicken, roast, spaghetti...is she cooked it, it was good), baked, kept her house clean and worked a forty hour week. She treated her boys and me, her girl, like gold, and her husband, too. Ms. Geegah would give you the shirt off her back if it would help you out. The best part about her is she was so modest that she didn't think she did things well. She just did her best and hoped it was enough.
When Bart and I got engaged, I was really worried that Ms. Geegah would be upset by not being able to go into the temple when we got married. She wasn't. She was just so excited and glad that Bart was happy that she was happy with the reception we had in Natchez, MS. Ms. Geegah was truly one of the best friends I have ever had. My love for her grew as we ran errands together, washed laundry at the laundry mat together, and even watched wrestling together.
When Ms. Geegah got sick, my world changed. Who would be there to watch my children grow up day by day? My mom lived 2 hours away, and although she is always willing to help out or participate, I had also envisioned a special place for "Grandma Geegah" in my unborn children's lives. How would I ever be able to make her famous fried chicken? Who would listen to my silly rants and remind me to be more like Christ?
(This is a picture Bart's Aunt Sue found online after Ms. Geegah had passed away. The woman looks just like Glenda, and the baby looked a lot like Brennan)
Suddenly I was faced with the fact that life isn't always as you plan it to be, that things can change in the twinkling of an eye, and that the good die young.
Looking back, a little over five years after Ms. Glenda passed away, I am grateful for every minute I had with her. When we still lived in Baton Rouge, I would pass places we had went and smile, I would attend the Christmas Relief Society Enrichment and think about how much Ms. Geegah enjoyed them. I hope that my children were able to spend a little time with her in heaven, so they could have her in their lives.
Luckily, Bart is a lot like his mom (in some ways), so they can have a taste of her through him. It still isn't the same, so it is up to us to share memories "Grandma Geegah who is an angel" with Brennan and Jackson.

Okay, so this post is kind of all over the place and maybe doesn't make since, but I have wanted to share Ms. Glenda with y'all for a while, so now is as good a time as any.

Now, if she'd just stop holding our daughter hostage, we'd be so excited...

Making Do

Alright, so what do you use if it is midnight on a Saturday night, you take your four year old to go potty, and he's burning up with fever? Hmm...
Your brain may be telling you, use a digital thermometer.
WRONG!
It's midnight, remember, oh, and I forgot to mention you have an 18 month old who likes to take his temperature.
Well, you use a meat thermometer, of course.
It is actually a lot faster than digital ones, and always in the right spot, the utensil drawer in the back left corner.
And as long as it can accurately tell me that me meat is medium rare, I trust it to tell me that my four year old is well-done at 103 degrees.

Craft Fair a Bust

(Some of the vendors and one buyer...if you like our scarves, contact Lori to hear more about how to buy one or two or ten)
Last night was the MOM craft fair. Although it was very well advertised, it was very poorly attended. I sold a few items, but I didn't even make back the fee to enter. I had fun chatting with the other ladies, and even got a few ideas to "borrow" for myself. I would enter again, but I think I would enter if it were on a Saturday morning...more old people get out in the a.m. than the night. You know how some people are allergic to moonlight!
Anyways, the most disappointing part of the whole evening is that of an organization that has over 150 members, only two non-vendor members stopped by the fair. Where was everyone else??? Oh, well...At least I have some really cute Christmas and birthday presents for a few years! (So don't complain if I come visit you bearing a gift or two!)

How often?

How often do you...

  1. tell your husband you love him?
  2. talk to your parents or grandparents?
  3. give your kids a hug and kiss?
  4. sleep naked?
  5. walk through the rain and not run to hide?
  6. sing as loud as you can to the radio?
  7. stay in your p.j.'s all day long?
  8. wish for more?
  9. secretly wonder how some people seem to be so together?
  10. look at caller i.d. and ignore the call?
Me? My answers are:
  1. Every time we talk on the phone, leave each other, go to bed, or just feel like it.
  2. My parents...about twice a week...my grandparents, about once a month.
  3. All the time. Sometimes, when they are asleep, I get this insane urge to go give them hugs and kisses, but I refrain...I'm not crazy!
  4. A lot less than Bart would like!
  5. It doesn't seem to rain a lot here...but, since all of our umbrellas are broken (hm, Brennan, any ideas on how that happened) it could happen often.
  6. Whenever there's a good song on! The boys love to rock out, too.
  7. Never, I've gotta have my shower by 10 or so (it's almost time now!)
  8. All the time. I guess I am a dreamer, but I wish for more money, less fat, more faith, etc. Everything is attainable, I just have to make the effort and not eat the nerds candy Jackson is feeding me right now, read and pray more, and spend less !
  9. I haven't really met anyone here that I've wondered that about, but there are a few people that I look at and say, "how the heck do they do it all?" Now I know nobody's life is perfect, and that cool. calm, collected people have their downfalls and don't think they are all that, but they are to me, so they are my model.
  10. At least once a day! Thank goodness Bart insisted we get it last year. It is a real lifesaver!

under pressure

Today I am under pressure. I decided to enter a craft fair that the MOM's group I belong to was hosting as a fund-raiser. It's tonight. I hope I can make back the $$$ I spent, plus get enough for Christmas (if the boys don't drive me crazy and simply get a lump of coal from ole St. Nick!).

Don't forget about NaBloPoMo!!!

NaBloPoMo

Happy National Blog Posting Month!!! I challenge you to a blog duel. Let's see who of us in the blogging community can keep it up. Can you accept the challenge and blog at least one post every day for the entire month of November, starting today? Try it...This could get good.
Oh, and let's all try to be creative with our posts, not just little thing about our family or cute pictures. Let's write about favorite childhood memories, best holiday traditions/stories, our fears and dreams, maybe our favorite meals and most disastrous dinners. Let's really get to know each other as we connect every day.
Can you do it?
I'm gonna try...

Happy Halloween

Brennan's preschool class, during their fall party. The boys being silly.

The bee and his queen. All that candy!!!!

We really need to find a good dentist!

Some really funny things happened during Halloween. Because I need to get back to work on my craft fair stuff, I will list them out.
  • Brennan kept yelling "Ow!" every time he touched Jackson. (Jackson was a bee...thanks Kasey)
  • Jackson would say, "Twick" for trick-or-treat.
  • Brennan gave every person's home a compliment, sometimes to the owner, other times he just said it. Two examples: "You have a really nice mailbox" (It was red with Neb. deco.) and "I like your scary spiderwebs. Did you make them just for Halloween?"
  • Jackson got furious when we let Brennan go across the street to a house and Jackson had to stay in the stroller. He was yelling "Bu, bu, bu!!!" and "Twick!" He wanted that candy.
  • Brennan went to trick or treat a door by himself. However, after he knocked, he decided he needed to eat some candy, so he dug around in his bag, opened a piece, and ate it...all as the homeowner stood there and watched...Bart quickly went up to move the slow poke fireman along.
  • Jackson would not let go of his candy. He wouldn't let people put it in his bag. Instead he would hold it, drop it, hold it some more, than put it in his bag. When I dumped his little sack out so he could carry it with ease, he got furious!!! (That is, until he got to the next house and got some more candy.)
  • When we got home, Brennan turned on our light for "customers", even though he was about to go to bed. This morning, the first thing Brennan asked was if we got any "customers". (Yes, one, but then we turned our light off...we'll give out candy next year when Jackson is older and the boys only need one adult to go around our neighborhood.)
Hope you guys all had a great Halloween, too. Brennan said it was the "best, best, bestest day ever."
