Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme


TodaysMama and Provo Craft are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What 5 items are on your holiday wish list this year?

  • warm socks for the nighttime (cause my warm ones have holes and I never remember to buy some new ones)
  • skirts from DownEastBasics.com (and this one and this one)
  • scrapbooking supplies...or a gift card to a local scrapbook store.
  • plastic spatulas for scrapping bowls
  • snow boots
(I am so hard to please :-)

2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?
  • candy!
3. What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle?
  • knitted hat and scarf
4. What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child?
  • I wasn't a child, but this super annoying robot kitty from my dad that is STILL at my parents house, meowing away.
5. What items are on your kid’s wish list this year?
  • Brennan: Legos, Bike
  • Jackson: "soccer thing" aka Foosball table
  • Ethan: FOOD
6. What is your favorite holiday food?
  • Does "all desserts" count as "food"?
7. What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays?
  • Wooden Stars with JOY in them for Brennan's teachers, a Merry Christmas block that I will post pictures of soon, reindeer and snowman iron on tees, maybe matching p.j. pants.
8. What is your favorite holiday movie?
  • 4 Christmas's...sure, it's a new release, but it is so darn funny, I can see myself watching it every year.
9. Favorite holiday song?
  • Harry Connick Jr.'s song, "It Must Have Been Old Santa Claus"
10. Favorite holiday pastime?
  • decorating sugar cookies with Bart's Aunt Linda's family (and now just my family in Omaha.)

When my 2 littles guys were in k -2, I knit all their wonderful teachers scarves. Past that, the teachers get my grandmother's coffee cake! (Recipe on Thursday this week). You might like the scarf I made my son when he was 14 for Christmas! It's one of the most perfect yet difficult gift ever!
