This year I did a lot of Christmas shopping online.
Yes, Bart did most the shopping, but I bought my brother's gift from there, some of Bart's gifts, and books and such for the boys from Amazon.com (all with free super saver shipping of course)
I do NOT recall ordering a winter storm for Christmas. Not even on cyber Monday or for 75% off.
Yes, I am lucky...Bart is off of work from this evening until next Monday, so we don't have to get out in it, I have a full pantry and freezer, and we've got no travel plans so we can stay inside for days and be fine.
It's just that, well, the snow from the LAST winter blizzard didn't melt yet. And, my friends and I have plans to go ice skating tonight. And tomorrow morning I want to go to boot camp and do the Santa play date with my MOM friends. A big ice storm does NOT fit into that equation. Nope.
So, Old Man Winter, take your winter storm and blow it out the other end.
Thanks!

3 Words to brighten my day:
The snow should be starting here in Denver just in time for my long commute home. Lovely.
Hopefully we don't get too much, the only food I have in the house is either reserved for Christmas, or for our 8 month old!
Tell Old Man Winter to blow it our way. We normally have snow this time of year, but none yet. I am sad. I am so ready for snow.
Then again, the last time this happened we had a horrible ice storm in the middle of January.
I had to take off the flannel shirt and put on short sleeves while I was working outside plumbing. I think it's supposed to start raining again tomorrow, though. But it will be in the 60s, I think.
That said, I'd still like to come up to NE and see you guys. Ice is a bother, though. I wouldn't mind just snow. In fact, I'd like to see some, just to experience that "White Christmas" thing.
