New Brakes

We finally got new brake pads. Yeah! No more squealing and squeaking at stop lights.
I am stoked.
And, it only cost $130, and it only took 1 hour.
Who else wants some of our car trip to LA money???

4 Words to brighten my day:

You know it's bad when you can't stop properly without using the emergency brake and it STILL makes those squeeling grinding noises. Better yet, using the emergency brake on an icy hill. Fun, fun, fun! I'm glad you can breathe easier about driving around town now. Why do car repairs have to cost a million trillion dollars anyhow? Well at least you know that your car will stop when you want it to. Are you driving home or flying in when you come to visit? I just thought about that and thought duh! They're probably flying. What do I know?! (The answer is not much).

You're driving to LA? Craziness? So when are y'all coming down? And don't you just love car repairs? I took our car for a simple brake pad change and ended up with a $500 bill for all this other stuff that just had to be done and it took four hours (me with the kids in a tiny waiting room for four hours - not a good idea). Never again! All car repairs are now David's job!

Don't you love how you go in for one thing, and you leave with a 4 page report of all of the other things that need to be fixed?
