When I was younger (about ages 8-11), my brothers, sister, bff of childhood, Lori, and I would play pretend in the pasture behind our house in Leesville, LA. One of my favorite things to pretend was that we were the Box Car Children. I don't know if it is because one of the characters was named Jessica or what, but playing in the back pasture and the shed, pretending to be run away children, was the best way to spend a summer day.
The funniest part of this is that we had only read the first book of the series. So, almost all of our adventures were of our own making. If I could remember what we did, I think it would be neat to look over the Box Car Children's adventures and see if any of them matched up.
It’s gonna be okay.

3 Words to brighten my day:
I think most young girls our age liked those books. I read them all- can't rememeber a one of them though. Were you a fan of the babysitters club books too?
I loved those books and when my kids get a little older I plan on getting and reading those books to them.
For some reason I never got into those- I hadn't even heard of them until I started working at the Montessori Preschool in Alaska- they would read a chapter a day to all of the older kids that had woken up before nap time was over. It just never seemed to get going, or maybe it was that I couldn't enjoy it with 10 antsy preschoolers that all had different questions. Guess I might give it a shot some time again maybe when Peyton is older.
