(Some of the vendors and one buyer...if you like our scarves, contact Lori to hear more about how to buy one or two or ten)
Last night was the MOM craft fair. Although it was very well advertised, it was very poorly attended. I sold a few items, but I didn't even make back the fee to enter. I had fun chatting with the other ladies, and even got a few ideas to "borrow" for myself. I would enter again, but I think I would enter if it were on a Saturday morning...more old people get out in the a.m. than the night. You know how some people are allergic to moonlight!
Anyways, the most disappointing part of the whole evening is that of an organization that has over 150 members, only two non-vendor members stopped by the fair. Where was everyone else??? Oh, well...At least I have some really cute Christmas and birthday presents for a few years! (So don't complain if I come visit you bearing a gift or two!)

7 Words to brighten my day:
So, I was thinking about this after I left. A church basement is great because it's usually pretty free, but there is no way to attract outside customers other than the advertisments. If you rent a hall that is part of a business park or strip mall, a dign outside could attract many more shoppers. I'm so sorry the turn out was low. I agree that a Sat morning would be better.
Too bad it was a bust, but you do have some cute stuff for future gifts!
Those bows look great Jess! I like the frames too. I wonder if there's some kind of Saturday market or Xmas show that you could set up at to show off your goods. They're too cute to be socked away!
Saturday morning would be better indeed but I still say more of the moms in our group should have come. They at least knew about it and the money benefits us all in the group.
It wasn't just up there that things were slow! The craft fair in Natchez was a disappointment yesterday. There were a good many people, but a lot were the "look and touch" variety. Hopefully today (Sunday) will be better for sales. According to some of the vendors who have been here before, the traffic was lighter than usual. Mama didn't sell many quilts, but the free cake samples were a hit and tons of people got her cards, saying they had no idea that someone in Vidalia was doing cakes, and such great ones. We'll see how the day goes!
Hey you should do a website and we could order stuff, your prices seem reasonable and your stuff is way cute! Don't give up!
the only problem with all my out of town friends ordering is that my reasonable prices go up some when you add in shipping...but, if you are interested, go to www.dropshots.com/tigerfamily and check them out. for those in baton rouge, if you can wait until the day after christmas, i could drop them off, or ship them all to one person to distribute.
