Picture Time!

Today the boys got their pictures taken at Portrait Innovations. I have to hand it to them, that place does a great job! If you only get a one pose package, it is less than $11 for about 35 prints and 6 postcards. Not too bad, considering they take at least 30 pictures, you get to change outfits, and they change backgrounds a lot and use a lot of props. The best part is that you get your photos in about 15 minutes...great for the family Christmas card. Now, if you get more than one shot, it gets kind of pricey, but they are so good, it is worth it. Oh, and my trick to only get one pose...don't change the outfit. It's easier to narrow down the choices if you are deciding between two cute outfits.
So, yes, this is solicitation, but I'm not getting anything out of it, just the satisfaction of knowing you have great, timeless photos, too.
I expect every one of you to post a picture of the picture you get taken, too, or send me one in the mail, so I can see how cute they make your kids, too!

(This is a picture I took with my camera of the actual photo)

Jamie just had Allison's 1 yr. pics taken there and had a really good experience. She brought a change of clothes and paid an arm and a leg for a multi pose package. She gave me the same advice about one outfit, so that's the plan for Kailey's 2 yr. pics. Those will be coming soon (December) to the Bonnette blog.

Those are some sexy kids you're growing there!

While I appreciate the advice, I never go to "professional" studios. I prefer to take my own photos. It allows me to approach it from an artistic standpoint. I like black and white photos from funky angles. But that's just me. I know Stacy loves that place for pics.

that is a cute pic. I checked it out and they are all a little far. Have fun. I just get my kids the free 8x10 every year on their bday from babies r us (if they have a photo studio inside your babies r us) you just join the birthday club (free) and every year you get a free pic.

Those pictures are great. I haven't ventured out to get Peyton's picture yet, and I really don't know what I'm waiting for because it's not like he's getting any younger or smaller... so maybe I should do it soon. I'll have to see if they have someplace like that around here. I had my eye on glamor shots before Peyton got here, but that's clear up in B.R. and I'm not sure he'll take being driven there AND poked and prodded for a good pic. We'll see....

I've been there twice, and I was stubborn both times and spent ten something. If you can stand strong and turn down forty precious pictures for just one, you'll get a great deal! If we ever get a scanner, I'll put my pics on our blog.

stacy, i just used my digital camera and took a picture of the picture. that's why it's kind of dark. just be sure not to use your flash. i figured it would be fine to go white trash like that for the blog!

Walmart does something similar- they take the shot- you view it and say 'yea' or 'ney' and then they shoot again and you say 'yea' or 'ney.' YOu get one outfit and pictures take a coupdle weeks to get in, but if there's not a portrait innovations around you- you can get chep photos at Walmart too. End tangent.
