It's a Big, Big World

Today was Brennan's first day of preschool. He was very excited to go to school. He has been wearing his backpack all day long, as so has Jackson. (Jackson does think he is a big kid, so why shouldn't he wear one, too?) Brennan could hardly wait for 12:40 to get here so he could go be with his teacher, Mrs. Bockes.
We gave Conner a ride, which was fun, because both boys are in the same class and were able to be united in this new experience, two little stripling warriors.
No tears were shed by me or Brennan (none were expected from Brennan...I was iffy).
So, now I release my hold on Brennan and send him 'out into the world'.
Good Luck Brennan...it's a big, big world out there, and it takes a lot of courage to conquer it.

4 Words to brighten my day:

What cute pics for his first day of pre-school! I already know that next year when it's Ainsly's turn I'll be the one closest to tears - Ainsly will probably run away from me and off to her teacher yelling, "Bye Mom!"

Don't be so melodramatic!! It's only the first half-day of preschool, you're not sending him out into the world quite yet! Wait 'til you take him to Baton Rouge and drop him off at LSU - then you can cry a good deal of the way back to Vidalia (or wherever you live - I just used Vidalia as an example).

Very cute! Laurel meets her teacher tomorrow and has her first day on Wednesday. I think it hasn't sunk in yet for me. I hope she is as happy as Brennan is in those pics!

It sounds like it went super! I'm glad he likes his teacher. That always helps (at least it did for me- who wants a crabby old geezer who's not excited to be there? LOL).
