I found a really cute sweater online at Janie and Jack. It would have been perfect for Jackson for the Christmas pictures we're taking this year (I'm seeing grey, black, and maroon...jeans or dress slacks?). It is even on sale!
I called our brand new Janie and Jack store to see if it was in stock...the associate went to check...
"Is it the one with tan elbow pads?"
WHAT?
I didn't check the "alternate view"...I quickly did so, because 'Diamond Pattern Sweater' was up on my screen. Yep...elbow pads.
I am not too sure how I feel about elbow pads.
She nicely asked if she could hold it for me, stating they also had a few in the size I needed. I told her no, just in case I went into labor before I could pick it up tomorrow...that was my excuse. Now I have to think long and hard.
I know Bart will LOVE elbow pads. He'd probably put some on everything if he knew how. Me, I don't know.
What do you think?
Oh, and should we be dressy or casual? Jeans? Or nice dress pants?/
Help me out.

I think it's totally acceptable since they probably can't be seen in the pictures anyway :)
I don't care for the elbow pads but you can always edit them out of your photos. I like the sweater though.
What a great sweater!! Definitely go for the dressy look! Big CONGRATS on the new baby!!
I agree that you probably won't be able to see them since they are tucked away in the back and it will still give Bart the chance to be tickled that the boys got to wear elbow pads. However, if you just can't stand them, keep looking because you'll want the boys to wear them for more than just a photo session and you don't want to be bugged every time you see them.
I like the sweater, too and I think I'd be willing to take the elbow pads. And, I think I'd go with jeans. Maybe a dark wash denim.
i HATE elbow pads. if it were me and you could see them just alittle bit it would drive me CRAZY. i say go kakhi's
I really like the sweater, so I would take the elbow pads, if it were me. Also, I would probably go with jeans.
BTW I am super jealous that you have a Janie and Jack store. I'm not holding my breathe for one here.
Go for it!! It's a great-looking sweater, and the elbow pads add that classy, sort of British-earl-at-his-huntng-preserve look. I once had a corduroy jacket with leather patches on the elbows. Classy!!:)
Just so you know that is one of my favorite sweaters that we have at the store and... it is my favorite because of the ELBOW PADS!!!! I love when my husband has them on his sweaters too, what makes these ones so great is that they are REAL, not just the ones they put in the material to look like pads but the real thing! I would get it for sure... I would do it with jeans definitely!
