Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme

TodaysMama and Provo Craft are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.
1. What 5 items are on your holiday wish list this year?
- warm socks for the nighttime (cause my warm ones have holes and I never remember to buy some new ones)
- skirts from DownEastBasics.com (and this one and this one)
- scrapbooking supplies...or a gift card to a local scrapbook store.
- plastic spatulas for scrapping bowls
- snow boots
2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?
- candy!
- knitted hat and scarf
- I wasn't a child, but this super annoying robot kitty from my dad that is STILL at my parents house, meowing away.
- Brennan: Legos, Bike
- Jackson: "soccer thing" aka Foosball table
- Ethan: FOOD
- Does "all desserts" count as "food"?
- Wooden Stars with JOY in them for Brennan's teachers, a Merry Christmas block that I will post pictures of soon, reindeer and snowman iron on tees, maybe matching p.j. pants.
- 4 Christmas's...sure, it's a new release, but it is so darn funny, I can see myself watching it every year.
- Harry Connick Jr.'s song, "It Must Have Been Old Santa Claus"
- decorating sugar cookies with Bart's Aunt Linda's family (and now just my family in Omaha.)

Boot Camp, Snowmen, and Staying Still
Megan and I started boot camp, as I mentioned earlier...so did a BUNCH of MOM friends.
Go here to read all about it. It's pretty whiny right now but I am very cautiously optimsitic that by the end we will all go get a big huge triple thick milk shake from McDonald's, super size fries, and a Big Mac and say, "Yep, Totally worth it."
Don't forget my giveaways...one for a snowman and reindeer iron on set, one for an adorable bib from 3 Little Monkeys! Low entries right now...and you can get a TON from the iron on one...Oh, speaking of that...congrats to KIMBERLY who has 400 extra entries for purchasing 2 snowmen iron ons the other day! She will just take 2 reindeer if she wins.
And staying still...day 2 of bootcamp was much more brutal then day 1...so I will stay still here on the couch, blog hopping and sharing comment love.
Don't you want to give me some comment love???

24 Days Until Christmas
So, has the panic set in?
The fear of not doing it all?
Mine hasn't, and this year, I won't let it.
Nope.
Bart decided he wanted to buy the boys presents, so other then my mom and brother (whose names we drew) and Stacy (my scrappin' friend whose name I drew), I am set in that department. I get to watch Bart struggle over which Lego set Bren would love and which Ben Ten would be perfect for Jack.
I don't do friend gifts or kid's friends gifts...it is just too much to worry with and not in my budget.
I already mailed my Christmas cards. Since they came in before Thanksgiving, it was easy to address them while working for westathome.com...more on my job another day. I'm not bragging, I'm just saying that chore is over. And...I really liked my cards!
Our tree is up and as decorated as it is going to be. Kids rock at this project...if you want one small area to be super full of ornaments, that is. It's fake (thanks Keeley!) and that is okay with me.
I've got cookie exchanges penciled in, babysitters lined up for various functions, and the 'perfect' holiday outfits for the boys all designed in my head...just need to put scissors to fabric and get started for the boys.
I am excited.
I am happy to avoid the hustle and bustle and sit back and enjoy December. Because man, November flew by faster then the Blue Angels. I want to enjoy my holiday.
Let's see how long this philosophy lasts...I bet by next week I am scrambling to finish the craft projects for teacher gifts (can't leave any of them out, not even that darn guidance counselor...Hi JP!), wondering where my red serger thread went to sew the boys pants, rearranging the tree, starting rough drafts of Christmas Day menus, planning my outfit for my ten year wedding anniversary date night, frantically searching for a box the right size to mail my mom's birthday present in, wondering why I didn't mail her Christmas present at the same time and returning to the post office for more torture, and overall being overwhelmed...I am going to enjoy my peace while it lasts, on Day 1 of the 24 day Christmas countdown...
Oh, and folks, I've started bootcamp. Yep. Go here to read all about Megan and my adventures.
