We don't have a lot of traditions in our house. We always have fried chicken for Bart's birthday, we always watch LSU football, and we always go to Carlos O'Kelly's for Cinco De Mayo (well, we went last year and thought we'd go back, even though the food is barely edible. Brennan for some crazy reason, loves it there)
But...there is one tradition...that I NEVER miss
I know I make fun of "Hallmark Holidays". But, this holiday. This MOST CROPPIEST OF CROPPY DAYS is NEVER missed.
In 2006, Jackson was born on April 6. NSD was May 5-6 that year. Did having a one month old child keep me from attending?
NOPE!
I pumped so Bart has plenty of milk, then I went on my merry way to scrap the night away. Friday night I fed Jackson, went to scrap, and came home for the night six hours later, just in time to feed Jackson and go to bed.
Saturday I fed Jackson, went to scrap, and went home every six hours to feed Jackson, with the other times him eating more expressed milk. I was NOT going to miss this scrappy day. (Good thing we lived about 5-7 minutes from the store)
This year, I am going to The Scrapbook Store with Diana again. We had a great time last year and I really love the atmosphere. The owners act a lot like Jennifer used to at Special Memories. I still wonder why that store closed in Baton Rouge...
So, this year, I am going to Brennan's second baseball game (good thing it is at 9!) then I am getting dropped off for a day of scrapping. Bart gets to be Father of the Year...going back to the ball field to do group pictures at 11:15 with all three boys in tow. Then he gets to go hang out with the crew (Ethan will drink formula, so I am not coming home...I will just pump when I need "relief", which is weird but okay b/c one of the owners will also be pumping) while I scrap until I just can't preserve any more memories.
***edited to add: You can enter until I get back on the computer, probably Sunday afternoon. So, even if I am done scrapbooking, feel free to take a guess. Now that I get 15% off my total purchase if I say, "Happy National Scrapbook Weekend" or something like that (Diana, I hope you remember), your prize just got a little better.***

PRIZE ALERT:
Take a guess at how many pages I will complete on Saturday. If your guess is exactly correct, you will win a prize of my choosing. I am not sure what, but it will be something scrapbook related.***edited to add: You can enter until I get back on the computer, probably Sunday afternoon. 12 Words to brighten my day:
Oooh, hmmm, I've never scrapped with you - would these be completed pages with pictures, journal boxes, or just the template pages you would put photos in later? Can you tell I'm taking this guessing thing very seriously? LOL
A layout with have pictures, journaling, and possibly a title. If I don't have titles, I will still count them as complete. I have a cricut so I often do the titles at home later on.
I think you're going to do 32 pages. =D
I think you'll complete 35 pages and I bet they'll be amazing! Have a great time!
I am guessing 24 pages. Have fun!
I have never scrapped with you, so I am going to take a shot in the dark...i say 20! Have a great time!!
31! Have fun!
I've only done two scrapbooks in my lifetime and neither one I kept {they were both gifts}! I have to say that it's probably a good thing I don't scrap because I could quickly get in trouble with all of the fabulous paper and stickers there are out there. I am always impressed by what others do though. I'll bet your scrapbooks are super fun.
If I had to guess how many pages you'll do, I'd say 16.
I was pretty meticulous when I did those two scrapbooks because I wanted every page to be perfect. Maybe you're a lot quicker than I was though! I bet it will be fun. Remember to get something to eat and drink and come up for air every once in a while ;-)
I'm going to guess 28. Which is probably more than I've done in my entire life.
Holy crap I was going to guess 5. Clearly I need some scrap book skills. Ok, I guess 23 pages. My idea of scrapbooking is www.scrapblog.com
i am going to guess 6 or 10
Have Fun!!! I guess 18, although I have never scrapped with you I have a feeling you are a pro and are able to get tons done.
