I am thankful...

I am sitting at the computer, checking emails, and I hear the weatherman's voice say, "It's currently 5 below 0, with a windchill of negative 20. Make sure if you go outside you bundle up."
Really?
I just thought it was me being overly southern this morning as I drove Bart to work and shivered.
I am thankful for weathermen who are able to state the obvious without feeling silly about it.

2 Words to brighten my day:

Wait until it gets like 20 below and then warms up to zero- people will start going outside without coats because it feels warm. I'm absolutely serious- having lived in Alaska for 15 years, you knew who the tourists were when it warmed up because they were the ones bundled up to the teeth while everyone else was literally going around coatless. The cold isn't so bad as long as you A.)Bundle up and B.)there isn't any wind- that windchill factor is the worst! Not to mention getting blown in the face with snow and tiny particles of ice! You'll get the hang of this cold thing in a bit- and if it gets too much, you can visit the balmy South! Stay warm up there!
