Today we had a lot of fun. Brennan, Jackson, Dixie and I went on a walk around our neighborhood. I am surprised by how much landscaping is in our neighborhood. Maybe everyone's neighborhoods have lots of pretty flowers and bushes and gardens and I just never noticed. We walked to the local elementary school, since it is closed, and played at the playground for a bit. Jackson is very adventurous and climbed up the steps to the slide all by himself. Brennan eventually became brave on his own and crossed this obstacle course they have alone. Dixie just laid under the slide. On our way home, we stopped by the pool to see about swimming lessons for Brennan and a summer pass. Swim lessons are $80 (ugh!, last year they were $20) and a swim pass is $40 a person…you can't share a swim pass, which seems silly. Since we probably won't even go swimming 10 times this summer, we will skip the swim pass for this year…use the sprinkler parks with the mother's group if we really get the swim bug, but we are still contemplating swim lessons. Overall we had a lot of fun and got some good exercise. We are trying to be outside as much as possible, before it gets hot around here!

smilebox.com
Okay, so I know that I am a dork, but I am addicted to smilebox.com. I was searching for scrapbook layouts one quiet afternoon (really, the boys were sleeping!) and I discovered this site, which I have already used many times and plan on using for Brennan's birthday invitations (LA people, keep July 14 in the evening free!) and for church things. I love it, as you can see from my creations below. What did I ever do without this fun waste of time?

Happy Mother's Day!
We went out to eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise, which may sound cheesy, but is AWESOME! They have amazing drinks there (alcohol free, too!) and these sweet potato chips that are so yummy that even Brennan will eat them!
Overall a nice day.
Oh, and what did I get? An entire day and evening free of 'family fun' as I scrapbooked to my hearts content last Saturday! The best gift ever! (Bart bought me a book about some hairdressers in TX that are also p.i.'s, but I had to return that one...sorry Bart, but it just wasn't for me!)

Brennan
He loves to play basketball and is actually pretty good at it. He has a goal that goes up to six feet tall, so it isn't just a baby goal, like Jackson plays with. Brennan also loves to ride his bike (now that he can finally pedal it by himself) and to play with Dixie.
Brennan loves to go on adventures. We took him to an Omaha Royals baseball game and he tried so hard to catch a fly ball. He never did (so I bought one for him...he's still proud to have a ball like "those guys".), but that didn't get him down. I can't wait for our next adventure!

Jackson
So far he has given himself two black eyes (seperate occasions) scratched himself up more times than I can count and fallen down the stairs once. This guy's gonna break some hearts when he gets older, though, so watch out all you mom's with cutie pie daughters!
