I weaned Leo down to just nursing first thing in the morning and at night last August, when it got so busy at work that pumping was impossible. We continued that until Easter weekend this year. When he bit me so hard I wanted to cry. However, he still won't drink a sippy cup sitting up and doesn't know how to sip through a straw no matter how many times we've tried to show him how. I figure maybe he'll eventually get it when we can talk him through it. There's just no talking him through it right now- he just doesn't or won't at least try to understand!
